We love Stacy London
We love Stacy London. She has been very good to us. She came into the store the second day we were open and has always been our biggest supporter.
She put us on "What Not to Wear" over twenty five times.
Now don't get me wrong. We came through for her too and always produced when she needed us. They always came to us when they had a tough fit. And we helped her with some of her personal styling jobs. We all live on a two way street.
We have been talking about the show for about three years. We filmed the "sizzle reel" which is a four minute little pilot that she shopped. We did that a year ago. So now it is finally happening.
We did a lighting test in the store today. They put orange paper over all of our lights to give a "warmer" feel to the store.
I look like a rotisserie chicken.
We can't wait to start.

I love Lisa's hair , gorgeous!
If I get down to Florida, can she put in a good word for me with her stylist? I want Lisa hair.
Sure. He is an artist.
The only problem is the wife wanted me to get a haircut like fuckin Justin Beiber.
I am an old man for crying out loud.
I need a haircut like Carlo Gambino.
Her hair great though.
Auburn hightlights. Yummy.
Your bride is gorgeous, did she take pity on you or just bad eyesight?
I think you should go Kojak!
I would think there would be a measure of satisfaction that you simply have hair.
windbag, Are you bald?
nd, No, I'm not, but I wish I were. My barber just went up to $12 for a haircut. I could save a couple of hundred bucks a year if I were bald.
So, you're saying you're a cheapskate. Where the fuck do you live to get a $12 haircut, Mayberry? Is Floyd still cutting hair?
The Auburn highlights come through on the pics, very warm pretty brown.
A rotisserie chicken is probably better looking than any kind of chicken that garage would find on the road.
My haircuts cost me $19. $14 for the haircut and I always give the girls a $5 tip. I only get a haircut twice a year.
Hi Allen, glad to see you made it, was getting worried there for a minute, you would've been missed.
Where is RogerJ?
I was at Instapundit, and I noticed a shout out to EBL. From that post I was able to get TY's email address. As far as Roger J, maybe someone could go back to one of his comments, get see if he has an email address listed.
I'm cheap, but I'm worth it.
Yep. Mayberry we are. In fact, a Mayberry look-alike has been in the planning stages for several years. If the rumors are correct, it's been being graded the past couple of years. Haircuts have been $10 for about six or seven years, so it's taking a bit of getting used to.
For awhile, I gave myself a haircut on the front porch (less clean up), but always had to have my wife fix it when she got home. Poor people have poor ways.
This is my barber's . front window Really, it is.
He has a couple of pictures of Floyd hanging on the wall inside. And a sign that reads, "My bookkeeper is Helen Waite. If you need credit, go to Helen Waite."
I pay $12 too. $9 for the cut and a three dollar tip. You can always find good affordable haircuts in a military town. Just don't try going on a Sunday afternoon.
That's a funny photo, Windbag.
When I was a kid my dad ran a diving equipment shop out of a backroom in the house. My mom got tired of people using the front door because she didn't want them to walk through the house to get to the back. So my dad hung a sign near the door saying "Divers please use other door."
One day a Fuller Brush Man came to door. My mom answered and he greeted her: Hello Mrs. Divvers!
(Consonant doubled to mimic his mispronunciation).
Lol, Chickie.
I'm going to that military town you live in to set up an apartment for my daughter when she gets back from Afghanistan, I'm thinking maybe Carlsbad is a better bet. I'll be staying with her there for several weeks, any suggestions on good places for a tourist from Wisconsin? I'm bringing back her crazy Cuban cat too on the plane , what joy .
My brother rented a timeshare house in Carlsbad which was best for a family of five. For one person you might be better off in a small condo on the beach.
I go to a barber. It costs 15.00 plus 5.00 tip.
I used to go to some fancy stylist but my hair is very short and I don't need to pay a big price.
The barber does it better.
Lisa is hot. Love her hair. I think you two are an awesome couple.
tits.
chick, your father had a diving shop in Wisconsin?
chick, your father had a diving shop in Wisconsin?
Yes. Petries and later, Fontana put him out of business.
Well it wasn't really a shop shop. Sort of a small business run out of the house.
My hair got so thin my barber charged me a finders fee.
Now a woman friend runs clippers with a number two comb on it over my head, done in minutes.
I get two haircuts a year whether I need to or not.
I remember Petries, long gone.
Now Madison has this really fancy sport store. My sister wanted a pair of 30.00 socks for Christmas from there.
It's something IRE or something.
tits.
$30 socks rock, dude (can I call you "dude", Titus?). I get a pair of nice hunting socks every few years and wear them as slippers. Soft and warm, like a fine woman (sorry). The Appalachian Trail passes through our little hamlet, so we have a couple of top-notch hippie stores. You can spend a lot more than $30 on socks, but I'm cheap, so I don't.
I am a dude Windbag, call me dude.
I thought 30 bucks was a lot for one pair of socks.
I get mine at Target-pack of 6 for ten bucks.
It's the year of the Dragon.
tits.
It's something IRE or something.
Prolly REI. They're pricey. Did you ever see that movie where the hiker sawed his own arm off when it got trapped under a rock in Utah? That's the kind of dude who shops REI. Single, driven & deep into quality and the outdoors.
Sort of a small business run out of the house.
The badge-a-minit got a genuine laugh, as a unique legacy and a machine with a great name.
Leading to wonder if a Badge-a-Seknt might be possible with an upgrade?
Genuine laughs are even harder to provoke than smiles and so my day is made and complete.
Where the fuck do you live to get a $12 haircut, Mayberry? Is Floyd still cutting hair?
OK, I'm going to be giggling over this one for the rest of the day.
And I feel old, by the way, because I just had to explain to my son what the hell "Mayberry" is and who the hell "Floyd" is.
*Sigh.*
Speaking of socks, I'm just about done knitting my very first one! Yay! It's been far more absorbing and fun than I thought. Which is good, because it takes two socks to make a pair, of course.
