It seems that some people are getting all upset about the cost of some of the clothing that the First Lady is wearing on her vacation in Hawaii. Now that's a crock of shit. If she has the money and wants to spend it on clothing well that's her prerogative. It is just as lame as when they were criticizing Sarah Palin for the cost of her clothing on the campaign trail. The clothes cost what they cost. Not everyone has to be a K-Mart shopper. You shouldn't tell someone what they can eat or what they can wear or how they should live their life. I wish the first lady would sign on to that too. But I still have her back on this one.
She should buy whatever she wants and enjoy wearing it on vacation.
She will be getting a lot of wear out of it when they move back to Hawaii after the election. Just sayn'

Well since you and your wife own a dress shop, I would not expect you to discourage women buying nice dresses and accessories for themselves. And I have no problem with a woman buying nice clothes if she can afford it. Life is short. If it is in your budget, enjoy it.
But Michelle Obama's sin is hypocrisy.
She preaches austerity on food and other items, then indulges herself. Jackie Kennedy never did that.
I know her sin is hypocrisy. That's why I will defend her on spending whatever she wants on clothing and maybe she could rethink telling what to eat.
She needs some humility and self-awareness.
The hypocrisy is the issue. It's the issue lefties bash conservatives over the head with when they are discovered soliciting sex from minors, turning out to be gay, divorcing a sick spouse, or whatever else they want to pretend to be outraged over.
We should leave the grinch alone and free to eat whatever she wants to eat, wear whatever she wants to wear, and sleep with whichever Secret Service agent she wants to sleep with. It's none of our business. The left wants the right out of their wombs and bedrooms, but have no problem invading those sacred limits themselves.
The core problem is this: lefties have no moral or logical basis for their "life isn't fair," childish worldview. In the absence of standards, everything is relative, so they can, in good conscience, attack Palin for her wardrobe, while giving no thought whatsoever to the grinch's wardrobe. The basic rights of property, speech, religion, and freedom from most government meddling means nothing to them. It's control of those rights that mean something to them.

The hypocrisy of telling all that we must 'eat our peas' and cut back while she is wearing ugly clothing that she spent thousands and thousands of dollars upon, is what is grating.
The woman can't help her body style (large ass, no tits) but she could at least try to look nice and show some leadership with doing on a modest clothing budget.
