They were weird, and I didn't imagine them; I lived them as a university student.
Then I grew weary of them and moved out of town. Out of town was okay. The farmers, the plumbers, the masons, the guys who stopped after work for a beer, they were all okay, and seemed unaffected by the 60's.
They were much smarter, much happier, than the people who got deep into the 60's culture. The music, most of it, was pretty good. The rest of it - meh.
The 60's were fun and psycho if you were 18-22, single and wanted to get laid. Surprisingly enough I remember most of it. Would I repeat some of the things that I did? No.
I hate Sarah Jessica Parker, Robin Williams, Tim Robbins, Susan Saradon, the BJ Hunnicut guy, brussel sprouts, the Boston Red Sox, commies and well, lawyers.

Filmed @ the Hotel Del Coranado in San Diego. They have some great photos of the movie shoot displayed on the walls. A classy, old hotel.

The 60s aren't the 60s.
Only the late 60s are the 60s.
The rest of the 60s are an extension of the 50s (Kennedy Admin) or LBJ's halcyon days ('64 & '65, and maybe '66).
And, yes, the 60s were very weird.
The students were revolting, doncha know?
