Two things about the tax. The first point is general: governments need to raise revenue in some fashion. The second point is that the current tax code punishes brick & mortar businesses while giving a break to giant businesses like Amazon. It is essentially a way for companies like Amazon to bludgeon their competition into the ground by buying up politicians.
Except that there are states with no sales tax, and you're putting small businesses into the position of being tax collectors for many different locations--with no compensation, but plenty of room for bad things to happen.
Add in that Amazon is in favor of it (guess what, they're developing the means to be the tax collector for the small businesses, they'll collect a couple of percent of each transaction and forward the rest wherever it should go).
So Amazon benefits, and small businesses that have taken to the internet to survive get fucked.
I hate Sarah Jessica Parker, Robin Williams, Tim Robbins, Susan Saradon, the BJ Hunnicut guy, brussel sprouts, the Boston Red Sox, commies and well, lawyers.

Enjoy it while it lasts.
The bitter lesbian'll be puking the bit again soon.
Congrats, you guys just beat the two worst teams in the NFL not based in Florida. Or East Rutherford.
Icepick, why don't you write a blog post about how the internet sales tax is a good thing and post it on your blog so I can beat you up about it.
LOL
Is Eli related to Bradley Manning?

No, Bradley Manning isn't related to the NFL Mannings. The NFL Mannings aren't as butch as Bradley.

I thought this was neat. I imagine at least Sixty and Tim might as well.
"Sprong ze in paniek op" indeed!
Glenn Gould called playing piano concerts the last blood sport. I agree.
What a nightmare - worse than the worst dream you ever had about forgetting whatever you were not supposed to forget.
Yiddish words you should be using right now.
