Whose that girl?

She was the girl I always was looking for when I went out drinking in my younger days. Husky voiced with a cocktail and a cigarette. Older and experienced she wanted to teach a callow youte a thing or two. She was my seventies dream bar girl.

But those dreams always went south in reality because nobody could measure up to the original.

Whose that girl?

I know who it is. She was seen in such gems of television history as Trapper John MD.
She also appeared with John Wayne in one of his later films.

You could travel to all points of the compass, east, west, south and north before you found another girl like her.

Isn't "going south" a euphemism here for going down and isn't your dependent clause a tacit admission of Irishness?

Wasn't she connected to Sheldon Leonard in some way?

In Big Eddie.

I thought she was very attractive. Beautiful eyes.

Beautiful eyes

I noticed them too and thought they looked haunted. Then I found out she was married 4 times, starting at age 15. That's a helluva lot of commitment gone south.

Mary Tyler Moore was spectacular on the Dick Van Dyke show. By the time she got to her own show she was past the sell by date.
