Happy Anniversary to my darling.

Happy Anniversary to my darling girl. We used to do something fun on our anniversary. We have gone to Hawaii. On a cruise. Ate at a fancy restaurant. Last year we went back to Fraunces Tavern where we were married.

This year we kept it simple. We ate a small dinner at home. But we are alive and well. So to speak. We are together which is the most important thing. In sickness and in health.

I love my darling girl more and more every day. She is my heart. That is why I know I will be okay.

You are both very fortunate people. We men need the balance of a GOOD woman. Congrats and God bless.

You both look happy there, not staged or canned, but real. Real enough to to make me get tears in my eyes, in counterbalance to the "Awwwwww", as they're not mushy or silly tears, but grateful ones, celebrating the fact that you found each other and are together today to mark and enter into another year!

Congratulations and Many More!

MamaM, I've been accused of not being enough of an asshole, and I just can't help myself.

Also, the "Awwwwwww" was sincere enough. But coming from someone that's 6'1", 240 #s, and hairy ... Well, that's just gay. (Sorry, Palladian, but it is.)

And I've been married almost 17 years now, so I actually appreciate marriage. I've seen several come and go in the mean time, and it is always sad when they end, even when, ESPECIALLY when, everyone has seen it coming.

So it really is a beautiful thing to see a marriage flourish.

Yes it is. Congratulations and many many more anniversaries to come.

Dumbplumber and I will be celebrating our 20th next May. I can't believe we have been married that long, much less dated a few years before marriage. It seems like just yesterday that we got together. I can't imagine life without him.

It was the second marriage for both of us and I am amazed at the contrast between a good marriage and the bad and how could we have both suffered in our respective bad first marriages for so long. Every day I know I am blessed and every day I try to do the best that I can to make my husband's life good.

You and Lisa are lucky people. Treasure it.
