Whose that girl?

This charmer is a favorite of one of our old time commenters who loves how she does everything backwards.

As opposed to back door.

You know what I mean.

Whose that girl.

In heels. Drunk.

No, that last part was wrong.

She was awesome as a dancer and actress.

Cody Jarrett said...

Hey I know her! A real gold digger.
She even played a Cartwright, but no relation to Ben or Hoss.

ndspinelli said...

Ok Obtuse Brothers, who the fuck is she?

The Dude said...

That's Jake and Elwood Obtuse to you!

The Dude said...

Virginia Katherine McMath. Everyone knows that.

Cody Jarrett said...

From Independence MO.

The Dude said...

Troop knows I like my gingers. Oh snap!

blake said...

Rogers that.

One thing I love is giving a ginger a good rodgering.

ndspinelli said...

Thanks. When you said Independence I thought it was Margaret Truman.

You guys do know there's a big Mormon church in Independence, don't you!!

Icepick said...

Was this one for Ron?

This sounds like a group chat in a bar in P'town.

Ginger was still awesome sexy in late middle age. I saw her on the old Steve Allen Tonight Show doing My Heart Belongs To Daddy, she must have been at least in her mid-fifties, more likely late fifties. Still Smokin'.

Haz, Our family would vacation on the Cape every summer. We would stay in Eastham, about 40 minutes south of PTown. We would go to PTown for great fried clams and to buy an annual Cape Cod sweatshirt. My first recollections were when it was beatniks, then hippies. The homos started coming in late 70's and within a decade took it over. We had a family reunion on the Cape in the 90's. I read the PTown high school graduation article in the local paper. Six kids, all w/ Portugese names. There are still a few fisherman still there.

The Dude said...

So, Troopski, how has that extended hand of friendship with Cracker turned out?

We are all on Cracker's wall of white shame or some shit. Ooo, he's such a big meanie!

Well, I could use a new subject.

The umbrella in the photo adds a centering element. The dark and light contrast it provides also adds to the suggestion of spin. Which fits the picture of an awesome sexy woman who couldn't maintain one of her five marriages, yet remained dotingly attentive to her mother.

MamaM said...

And add this AA oddity to the father's record mix:

My father had every issue of Playboy beginning with the second issue. These were out on the coffee table along with Life and Look. Anyone could read them all they wanted, including me. Nothing was ever said about not reading them

How cool is that? Huh! Wonder if the whole collection was there or just the current issue.

It's all about life and look. Just depends on where and how one does so.

The Dude said...

Beatniks! Feh!

"The homos started coming in late 70's and within a decade took it over. We had a family reunion on the Cape in the 90's."

Didn't that happen to P-town? I know Sully and his dog live there.

rcocean said...

BTW, the Homos tried to take over SF, but the Chinks have driven them out.

rcocean said...

Matt Eckert: What about Europe?
Col. Andrew Tanner: They're a bunch of Homos...All except England, and they won't last very long.
Eckert: Well, who is on our side?
Tanner: Six hundred million hetrosexual Chinamen.

The Dude said...

Gunny has an opinion on that subject.

Cody Jarrett said...

As much as I dislike the Giant and especially the bitter lesbian--it's almost not even enjoyable watching them flail about.

I hope Troop's either not watching it or is medicated.

Michael Haz said...

Trooper, you've got medical personnel with you while you're watching the Gints - Bears game, right?

ricpic said...

Verlander smokin'!

chickelit said...

How cool is that? Huh! Wonder if the whole collection was there or just the current issue.

My dad had each and every issue of Skin Diver magazine (not muff diver magazine you perverts). After he died, my mom asked us boys if we wanted them. We said no. She made some coin selling those piecemeal.

Somebody clue me in on how the Tigers are doing. I enjoy hearing about them winning and also about Darcy wearing Tiggy.

Where is darcy?

*summoning darcy*

The Dude said...

How about Troop?

Michael Haz said...

The Tigers beat Oakland and are now in the ALCS. Miss Darcy should be very happy with this!

chickelit said...

How about Troop?

I don't give a shit about the Yankees.

Chip S. said...

She's gotta be especially happy that Verlander seems to have regained his form.

The Tigers could give the Sox a tough time.

The Dude said...

No right thinking person does, but our host seems to have decamped for friendlier climes.

Chip S. said...

Maybe this change of heart has turned him into a Sox fan.

Hmmm...movie premise?

chickelit said...

Yeah, where is Troop? Is he out of the woods yet?

I vaguely remember him saying something about getting use of his left hand back today.

Well, it appears that Boehner & Co. are preparing to do an el foldo and give the vicious punk everything he wants in exchange for his promise to talk. In other words complete surrender. Maybe I'm naive but I think this is the Republicans' Whig moment. What alternative is there for conservatives but to found a third party? Well aware that conservatives have been threatening a third party for years without pulling the trigger. But the Republican cave this time in the face of the general public disgust with Obama's vindictiveness - the way the veterans at the WW II monument were treated, being locked out of the national parks by the park rangers, the murderous Obamacare rates - and the obvious public support of Cruz for standing up to the thug, the Republican cave in the light of all that can only be deliberate and be seen as deliberate. When there's no alternative what's left? Form a third party.

P.S. If no one here wants to talk politics -- nevermind. LEM's not posting about it so what alternative did I have?!?!

Cody Jarrett said...

I hadn't heard that. I've been in the truck hauling for the last couple of hours (waiting to be loaded...stuck in traffic...stuck while they replace a beaver screen...) turned a 45 minute haul into a 2 hour haul.

Anyway, had Limbaugh on the whole time. He said the repubs were going to negotiate (or talk) because that's what the people said they wanted.

But as soon as they did, the media jumped in and started blowing up stories about how the Republicans were caving.

Maybe they are, it wouldn't shock me at all, but he didn't seem to think so, and he's been death on the Repubs in charge lately.

Also, Nate Silver's out commenting on the new Wall St Jrnl poll--basically saying it's worthless.

Cody Jarrett said...

Heh...Chick.

I like what you did there about a certain criminal getting all choked up.

Also, this AM (way, way too early this AM) I sent an email to that principal in Alabama. I told him I hoped to God he saw that boy's face in his dreams every night for the rest of his life.

And I was proud of myself because I didn't add the "and I hope it's a goddam short life you piece of shit".

See--little steps toward wisdom.
Or steps toward the steps toward wisdom.

Chip S. said...

If this in fact what happens, then it seems to me that the right response will be primary challenges galore. Seems easier to take control of the Republican shell (which is about all it seems to be now) than to start a whole new party. OTOH, the Repub brand is pretty crappy, too.

This seems to be the result of deficit hawks thinking that there's a way to reduce The Deficit w/o slashing individual programs. Like Obamacare. Which is massively unpopular. As is Obama.

I agree w/ ricpic that this is idiotic. I imagine that it's a consequence of reading the NYT and WaPo every day and believing what you read.

Cody Jarrett said...

Well...since I don't trust any of the leadership I don't know as I believe what I'm going to say...but who knows, maybe this is a cunning plan.

Barry says he won't negotiate until they do blah blah x and y. So they establish a framework for that stuff to happen. Suddenly Barry won't negotiate anyway--and they have him trapped in the sticky web spun from John McCain's anal glands.

Or they surrendered, who knows.

Like Chip says--they read the NYT and WaPo and nothing else. They just don't get the mood of the country.

Chip S. said...

It's very possible that the media are trying to spin something into a GOP surrender for their own purposes. If that's what's going on here, it could easily backfire when the Repubs find a spine after getting carpet-bombed by their constituents.

Obama's finally perceived as on the ropes, so his worshipful press will grasp at anything to shift the narrative. But if they were able to look two moves ahead, they wouldn't be lefties.

Cody Jarrett said...

I'm just looking at the tcot hash on twitter (I don't tweet, I go to the site) ad so far no one is blowing up about it.

They mostly seem fascinated by a handful of truckers that went to DC today.

Icepick said...

Wow, spend the day out with my daughter, and I'm completely out of the loop. I have heard nothing about the cave-in, or a wsj poll, or truckers in DC, or about a principal in Alabama. Feels kind of nice!

Cody Jarrett said...

It does, IP.

On those rare occasions I manage it.

I know a guy who goes up to a mountain in Cali, a friend of his owns a bunch of land and lets him use it, plus gave him a certain amount to build a little cabin and such.

Anyway, every year from end of May-ish until Labor Day-ish, he's up there. He brings books, and studies.

No internet, no phone, no cell service, just him, books, and nature.

Cody Jarrett said...

And on the weekends, his two girlfriends.

Ahem.

The Dude said...

Hey, you study nature your way, he studies it his.

Cody Jarrett said...

I have nothing but admiration for a guy who can manage a situation like that.

Especially when he's in his sixties and they're in their 40's.

This blog could use a woman or two visiting on the weekends.

Looks like I can no longer summon Darcy. :(

MamaM said...

Oh El Pollo, 'tis a sad turn of events when the EfmcGee is the only one who responds, even with Tiger references to sweeten the pot.

Yashu is still gone walkabout and DBQ is busy turning cars. Right now it's me and a band of brothers pacing about. No wonder ol' deborah thinks I'm a grump. Need MOAR estrogen!

Cody Jarrett said...

I gotta say, MamaM, I fail to see what was grumpy about your comment.

All the stuff that girl was talking about (while refreshing in a way) was exactly the stuff my mother (and my father) did when I was growing up. It was the only way to have nice stuff.

So yeah. Homemaking.

The Dude said...

My goal has always been to make every piece of furniture in my house.

So far so good - the only downside is that the place is nearly empty.

Okay, I do have some La-Z-Boy recliners around - I finally accepted that I need to relax once in a while.

blake said...

Darcy wishes she could respond, EPL, but she's...a little tied up right now.

Cody Jarrett said...

blake you promised you wouldn't tell.

chickelit said...

I hope is only a bit of humane bondage.

I'm a bit late to the party...but thanks for the Ginger (Top) Hat tip Trooper!
