Instant Replay- The Unedited Edition.
Leon Crenshaw went back to work today, back to grass drills and wind sprints. They kept him in the hospital for only four or five hours, gave him some intravenous injections and sent him back to training camp. Leon's one of a half a dozen Negro rookies trying out for the team, and I was thinking today that when I joined the Packers in 1958, there was only one Negro on the whole team. Now we eight Negros in the starting lineup, and four of them made the All-Pro team.
We have the Negros because of Lombardi. Don't get me wrong he doesn't like them very much. He calls them "moolies" and is much harder on them than anyone else. But he would use anyone to win. He would even use a Chinaman if he had too!
It is the people of Wisconsin that really hate the Negros. They are all upset with the civil rights situation in the South and will protest and raise money and all of that. But they don't want to live next to them. Green Bay is about the whitest place in the world. The Negro players are very uncomfortable about living there. They tell me they have to live in the "Toe" in Milwaukee. I asked them "What is the Toe?" They said "The Get-toe!" I guess that is where you can catch them.

You are just doubling down on this, aren't you.
I would have expected no less.
All the way. I never back down.
Plus I have all these great stories to tell from the Unedited Edition of "Instant Replay."
When it comes to Lombardi, there's a lot for Giant's fan to grieve.
Anger is just one of the stages.
Ray Handley..you can't top that big boy, which is why you keep up the offense. Ray Fucking Handley.
Chickenlittle, great pscyhoanalysis of our troubled friend. What are your rates?
@Gratis, fratello Spinelli.
We're in the third day before acceptance.
I hope and pray that TY will completely vent his anger. We will need to be there for him because it gets worse before it gets better...depression, reflection, & loneliness.
But it does get better.
Third day of seven, I mean.
Edgy!
Chickenlittle, maybe we can all mail Trooper some Prozac. Better overnight it because he'll be really depressed Sunday night.
And I see Trooper is channeling Tom Petty.."I won't back down."
Nah, I was channeling Nick Spinelli in a blog war. Just sayn'
Aw, Trooper, it will be OK. We will help you through the stages, don't fight it.
Youse guys are very, very confident.
Reminds me of the last time we played you in the NFC Championship game.
It is very difficult to repeat as Super Bowl Champions. So much could go wrong. Keep telling me there is no way the Giants can win.
That's some mucho good karma for us.
It will help us get our Chaka Khan's aligned.

Everyone admires confidence...until they get well stung.
I remember the Patriots in the Super Bowl feeling the same way.
Sometimes you have to learn what to do when you are losing to be able to overcome adverse conditions. If you win all the time you just think all you have to do is show up to win.
Any given Sunday!!
I'm a huge Packer fan. But, you know what? May the best team win. Sometimes, the best team won't win. A penalty here, a non-call there. The ball can bounce this way or that way. It doesn't matter, I'll still be a Packer fan.
The Pack should be healthy, rested, and ready to go.
Wow. The Giants gave up 49 points to the Saints, 38 to Green Bay, and lost at home to the mighty Redskins.
We won't talk about Philadelphia in November. That would be in poor taste.
Yes, yes we are afraid.
I don't want you to be afraid. I want you to be pompous and overconfident.
We have you right where we want you.
