I got SM Stirling's latest book "The Sword of the Lady" on the first day it was out and read it that night. It was great even though I had already seen the first ten chapters on the web.
So what the hell? Where the hell is the next one. I want it now.

Okay, I'm just back from Rocky Mountain National Park, so you're all saved.
And there is no perfect climate. That includes coastal California, blake, just to shut you down before you get all chesty about your nabe.
But I will say that the whole west, which is drier than the east, has the advantage -- climatewise. Except when it's too dry.
Glad you are back. You were missed.
Molly Picon was unconsolable.
The Sword of the Lady...
Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.
Maybe Stirling will pop by again!
Troop, this an alt history or something completely different?
Isn't RMNP great? When I was in graduate school in Denver, that was my favorite fishing spot in the state.
Trey
Small world Trey. I went to grad school in Ft. Collins, and I've been atop Longs Peak.
Hoosier it is straight sci-fi. Start from the first series and you will eat up these books.
It is a sort of post-apolitic (sic)
catasophe set in two series. Check out http://www.smstirling.com/ for an overview.
That lady with the sword looks a lot like a man.
