Did you ever get the feeling?

That you were shoveling shit against the tide?

We are busy on our new project and we have to be in all the details even though we were assured we didn't have to because we would have lots of help.

I had to rewrite the emails for clarity and spelling of all things! I dash shit off here without a thought but when I send something out to my customers I use my spell check. They copied me verbatim so I basically wrote it.

Then the wife had to change the artwork to depixel it and make it the bare minimum of acceptability. We found seventeen things wrong with it.

This is going to be a long slow slog.

Yeah, the guy who promised you milk and gravy? He lied.

The thing is that when you are hands on they like to glom your ideas and run with it. Which is fine because we want to be sucessful.

Bukowski has a line: "Take the cash and leave the credit behind."

I don't care who gets the credit because it will come out in the end. You know what I mean?

Yep. And then, when you're successful but all these other people take credit for it, there will be puzzlement as those other people fail in their next endeavors.

That is exactly right. But that has happened to me many times before. When I guide someone in setting up a bar and then they went on their own and fucked it up.

Same shit different business.
