Eli's Comming!

He was not named the MVP of the NFL. He is not considered an "Elite" quarterback. In fact most of the big time big mouth sportscasters don't even put him in the top ten. He is not married to a supermodel or dating a famous singer in Cabo before a playoff game. He doesn't run his mouth like the guy on the other side of town who wants to be in the Hall of Fame because he got to the conferance championship game twice. And lost. He doesn't have a lot of stats. Well except for being the guy who has the most game winning drives to win the game.

What he does have is two Super Bowl wins. Two rings. A sure spot in the Hall of fame. He might win one or two more. Who knows.

I want Eli on my team. He is a winner. And we won.

THE WORLD CHAMPION NEW YORK GIANTS!!!!!!!

We will talk about the parade later.

I still don't like what he did to San Diego. That makes him less than ideal in my casually-informed opinion. The others you compare him to don't have that on their record. Nothing can change that.

Congratulations Eli and the NYG!

That's fair enough. Some players manipulate where they will play. Look up John Elway and what he did. Or Bert Jones. Or a bunch of other guys.

What happens if the dad of a player has any influence he directs it the way he wants.

And you know what. He did the right thing. He won two championships he never would have won in San Diego. He did the right thing for himself and his family.

It's the American Way. Just sayn'

I just know I would rather have him as my quarterback than Rodgers or Brady or his brother.

He has proven it and nobody with half a brain could dispute it.

He is the elite quarterback.

He has the pelts on the pony.

We watched the Superbowl in our house for the first time yesterday. The kids and I were rooting for the Giants, my husband wasn't sure at first who to root for, but then settled on the Giants.

I asked him why, and he said: "Eli Manning looks like a guy you could have beer and play Xbox with. The other guy looks like an asshole."

Also, I like that this game again proved Sean Connery wrong:

Sometimes you send the loser home to fuck the prom queen.

Eli is a fine QB, but I think the win should go to the Giants' defense. They kept one of the best offenses in the NFL to 17 points. Meanwhile, the Giants who have a great offense, scored only 21 against one of the weakest defenses in the NFL.

Still, congrats on the win.

Defense always gets better in the big games. Both teams had a bunch of drops and miscues.

Eli is on the top of his game these days. He doesn't need to talk. He just goes out there and wins.

All hail the New York Giants

Being in San Diego, I can tell you they still hate the Manning family. When all that shit happened my take was it was a father who knew what it was like to play for a shit team just taking care of his son. My view has not changed on that.

That's all very well and good but Giselle has a different take on last night's game. Like how dare Wes Welker not catch Tommy's semi-perfect pass?! The glory should have been Tommy's! But the help didn't help, they LET TOMMY DOWN!!!

Hearty congrats, Troop.

And I'll give props to punter Steve Weatherford, who kept giving NE crappy field position. Brady would've had a much better chance if Sean Landeta was still your punter.

Especially since he must be like 50 years old now.
