You will never guess. And I don't want you ladies to be catty about her best movie.
Her Dad was a better actor.
Oh and it is not Jane Fonda.
But I am kind of fonda of her.
Whose that nun?

God is the Bigger Elvis?
She was a nasty girl, ja?
I guess nasty ass girl would be more like it.
Dotty Heart.
I think windbag has it.
She had cat-like grace, for a person and is European, but not from Paris--certainly not from Texas. Some of her roles would really tess't her abilities.
Nastassja Kinski, daughter of Klaus "Ve haf vays of making you act" Kinski, and she has a child with Vincent Spano, symbolized by the bridge-o in that picture.
Sixty's probably right but I'm gonna say a very young Isabella Rosellini.
There was an article in the NY Post recently about Dotty Hart. She's the only nun in her convent who watches the academy awards. Interesting that the only comment by her the Post quotes in the story is "I watch to keep track of the suffering in the world."
Speaking of nuns, Troop, can opine on this:
"25-08 37th Avenue (Crescent Avenue), Long Island City, Queens; (718) 361-0085. Set in the middle of nowhere, these are the best burnt ends I’ve had, including Kansas City, and the best lamb sausage I’ve had, ever. The pastrami is the other winner. Quite possibly this is the best barbecue on the entire East Coast and it is one of the better barbecue experiences in the country."
OK, so I lied, its not about nuns. I read it in Marginal Revolution.
My son took me to Joe's Real BBQ in Gilbert (east of Mesa AZ) recently and I had the best ribs ever. Went back a couple weeks later and had the best BBQ beef ever.
I meant "Troop, can YOU opine on this?"
I was going to guess Rossellini too...but I think windbag nailed it.
Nun's are nice.
Today is cardio day at the gym and then Bikram Yoga where the room is fucking hot.
I am ready.
Let's work.
tits.
Roberto Rossellini has one acting credit in the movie "Il Generale della Rovere" wherein he played the
Man in Gestapo office (uncredited).
Not sure that is enough of a resume to say that he was a better actor than his daughter.
With the "catty" clue, it's gotta be Kinski.
And her dad was batguano nuts. I think Herzog did a movie about the Kinski/Herzog relationship which has got to be fascinating.
I remember watching all those creepy/weird movies as a kid.
Ok, how about Meg Tilly?
My favorite Nun is Ingrid Bergman, even though she was a total slut in real life.
Actually, Deborah Kerr was a pretty good Nun, and so was Audrey Hepburn.
I guess irreligious protestants always make the best Nuns - on film.
Deborah Kerr was gorgeous in that movie - Black Narcissus?. But it was a weird one! Not sure I liked it. And how about Jean Simmons in that?
There is a wonderful movie by Almodovar (my fave) called Bad Habits.
It is about naughty nuns.
One nun fucks tigers, one is a coke head, one is a dyke and one is a stripper.
It's great fun.
tits.
I also loved his movie Bad Education-tour de force.
My chaka khans are in alignment right now and I am totally centered and one with myself, the world, and just being in the now and present. One of the girls in my yoga class titty fell out when she was in her downward facing dog. It was very sweaty, her titty. She gently cupped it and put in back in it's rightful place.
tits.
Another great sister movie is the true story about those laundrys in Ireland run by the nuns.
Amazing.
tits.
I saw a film about Black Narcissus, but have never seen the actual film. It looks interesting - done by the same guy who made The Red Shoes - which I also haven't seen.
Interesting thing about BN is that it was filmed on a sound stage - all the mountains are part of the set.
Fun fact about, To the Devil a Daughter, the movie that Miss Kinski starred in. She was 15 at the time of filming and the movie showed full frontal nudity of the young actress. And, of course, Roman Polanski nailed her when she was still 15 as well.
It's a worthwhile watch, Sixty. I had no idea that was a sound stage. It looked pretty realistic. And cold! I had to bundle up watching it. lol
And if you haven't gotten a glimpse of Jean Simmons in it yet, don't spoil the surprise for yourself.
I liked Anne Bancroft as a nun in the film, Agnes of God.
I also liked her role as Mrs. Robinson in The Graduate, she was versatile.
My humble opinion is Deborah Kerr and Robert Mitchum in Heaven Knows Mr. Allyson. Set in WW2 on a Japanese infested island. They're the only 2 actors. Mitchum is one of my favs and the chemistry between him and Kerr is wonderful.
Thanks for the tip. Love Mitchum.
Mitchum's chemistry weirded me out.
